Flashgun Softboxes
Adding a portable flash softbox to your off camera lighting workflow will give a beautiful softened light that is extremely flattering for portraits in particular. Speedlights tend to give off a relatively harsh directional light unless they are modified or diffused in some way. A soft box is intended to do precisely that and they are also extremely portable being ideal for location photographers. Our options are either small flash mounted models intended to sit directly on the flashgun, or larger versions which are mounted off camera on a lighting stand.

Compatibility is no problem as the entire range are compatible with all major camera brand models including Canon Speedlite, Nikon flash, Metz and many others. Location portrait photographers will often bring at least one or two options with them when photographing portraits, newborns, weddings or events. The ability to soften and diffuse light with a small piece of equipment is essential for these styles. Softboxes are easily collapsible and quick to fold flat which makes them portable, lightweight and easy to bring along virtually anywhere.
Photographers will also utilise a range of other complementary accessories to create unique images, including gels and diffusers. These can work in combination with a flash soft box or as an alternate option. Umbrellas perform a similar function, however they afford slightly less control over lighting.
