The Z DX 12-28mm lens also features internal focusing, with a unique power zoom design, which enables you to zoom incredibly smoothly at various speeds to suit your content. With a unique power zoom design, the Nikon Z DX 12-28mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ VR Lens is ideal for video creators and vloggers, as well as photographers who enjoy ultra wide angle shots and close-ups. The power zoom enables more creative videos and vlogs, with smooth and steady zooming without needing to touch the lens itself.
You can simply zoom in using programmable buttons on the mirrorless camera body, use an optional camera remote controller, such as the ML-L7 Remote, or the SnapBridge app to control the zoom remotely.
Creative zoom functionality
With the power zoom feature you can create various zoom speeds for your footage from 11 presets. Whether you want attention grabbing fast zooming or slow, steady slow zooms, this features allows for precise control between 36 seconds and just over 0.5 seconds zoom throughout the entire range.
Built-in VR stabilisation
Enjoy up to 4.5-stops of built-in vibration reduction (VR) to help you capture blur-free video even when walking and talking or panning handheld. Internal zooming means that the lens barrel doesn’t get longer or shorter while zooming in or out, so it stays perfectly balanced with a stable centre of gravity. Whether you’re shooting handheld or with a stabiliser this is a great feature to have.
Impressive image quality
Nikon is renowned for manufacturing extremely high-quality lenses and this model features an optical design with 12 elements in 11 groups. These include one ED and one aspherical special element, which deliver beautifully sharp and well controlled images throughout the zoom range. This is coupled with a 7-blade rounded aperture diaphragm and 0.21x maximum reproduction ratio.
Silent control ring
Another great feature for videographers is the control ring, which allows for silent, clickless aperture changes when shooting video. Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
