Panasonic Lumix S9 Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera
With the Panasonic Lumix S9 Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera Jet Black, Panasonic has created the smallest and lightest S Series mirrorless body, packed with cutting-edge imaging technology. The stylish S9 features a powerful 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, yet the new flat-style design measures just 126 x 73.9 x 46.7mm and weighs a mere 403g.
The sensor and processor provide excellent focus capabilities, including Phase Detection Auto-Focus (DAF) with superb subject tracking. A fully articulating rear LCD screen offers flexible shooting, and a dedicated 'LUT' button on the body emphasises the Lumix S9's design as a shoot-to-share camera. It also introduces a new, smaller smartphone-optimised full-frame sensor video mode – MP4 Lite.
This MP4 Lite mode allows for quicker transfers to the new Lumix Lab app, facilitating fast and easy editing, sharing to social media, LUT creation, and more for content creators.
Incorporating many of the Lumix S5 II's advanced features while introducing new ones, the S9 full-frame camera records 6K Open Gate 30p video, C4K/4K 60p in 4:2:2 10-bit, and offers up to 6.5 stops of combined image stabilisation with Active I.S. A new crop zoom and hybrid zoom enhance the versatility of full-frame L Mount Mirrorless Lenses. Panasonic Lumix S9 Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera Jet Black in More Detail
New stylish design in four colour options
With its instantly recognisable flat-style design, the S9 compact full-frame mirrorless camera is a stylish companion for content creators on the go. Panasonic has created four colour options to choose between, and the compact body includes cutting-edge technology for advanced content creation.
24.2MP full-frame sensor and the latest engine
The 24.2MP full-frame sensor and image processing engine, equivalent to that of the S5II, delivers excellent detail, fast readout speeds and high imaging performance for stills and video-centric content.
This allows you to shoot at continuous burst speeds of up to 30 frames/sec in AFS/AFC/MF, with subject detection engaged. The buffer is capable of RAW+JPEG for more than 35 images, RAW: more than 55 images, and JPEG: more than 120 images, and Panasonic recommends using an SD memory card with SD Speed Class with UHS-II UHS Speed Class 3.

Advanced Autofocus with Phase Hybrid AF
Thanks to the combination of sensor and processor, the S9 is able to provide improved Phase Hybrid AF with 779 points for more precise subject tracking performance. Subjects recognised by the camera include Human / Animal / Car / Motorcycle, and the AF system readily detects subjects in difficult conditions such as low light, or when backlit. Once locked on, AF will continue tracking even with other moving objects in the frame.
The Phase Detection AF system / Contrast AF system offers a range of focus modes, which include Tracking / Full Area AF / Zone (Horizontal/Vertical) / Zone / 1-Area+ / 1-Area / Pinpoint, with all but pinpoint offering automatic subject tracking. The AF detection range boasts a EV -6 - 18 (F/1.4, ISO100 equivalent, AFS), for exceptional AF regardless of whether shooting in low light or bright daylight conditions.

Powerful Image Stabilisation with Hybrid I.S.
Despite being so compact, the S9 body offers industry leading image stabilisation technology with 5-axis Dual I.S.2 for 6.5 stops / Body I.S. for 5 stops and Active I.S. to compensate for camera shake when shooting while walking.
With perspective distortion correction and High mode in the E-Stabilisation (Video) function, it is now possible to achieve even more stable footage when shooting on the move.

Professional video resolutions up to 6K Open Gate
Using the full width of the sensor, the S9 is able to record 6K Open Gate in 30p/25p/24p. The camera can also capture C4K/4K 60p in 4:2:2 10-Bit, with Slow & Quick video recording. Wide dynamic range of up to 14+ stops in V-Log and V-Gamut is available, along with Lumix Dual Native ISO for cleaner footage in low light situations.
Dual native ISO is available in Base ISO 100 / 640 (Auto), Low (Base ISO 100): Auto / 100-800 and High (Base ISO 640): Auto 640-51200. Extended ISO options are also available. IN V-log format V-Log Auto 640-51200 handles low noise with excellent results.
Full-frame recording in 59.94Hz MOV is available at a maximum rate highlighted in the table below.
