Peak Design Introduces Four New Colours

Peak Design have just revealed their biggest colour refresh ever, adding four striking new colours across their entire ecosystem of Everyday and Travel Bags, Clips, Straps, and Packing Tools. It’s their first major update in six years and brings an impressive 75 new products into the line-up, spanning bags and accessories for photographers, videographers, travellers and commuters.

Peak Design Introduces 4 New Colours in 2025

The new colours for 2025 are:

  • Eclipse – a deep, inky blue
  • Kelp – a dark, forest-toned green
  • IBIS – a rich, earthy orange
  • Ocean – a cool grey-blue

These new colours not only to look great, but connect with a wider audience of creators and travellers who want more exciting colours than corporate black and traditional muted tones, which are typical of cameras and accessories. Whether you’re a student heading to class, a professional photographer or an everyday creator, this refresh across the entire range gives you new designs to be excited about!

New Colours for the Entire Peak Design Line-up

This refresh includes almost the entire Peak Design bags and accessories catalogue. That means you’ll now find Eclipse, Kelp, IBIS, and Ocean versions of many (but not all) products. These include:

  • Everyday Slings which come in 3L, 6L, 10L, and 12L
  • Everyday Backpacks are available in 20L, 30L, and the larger Zip 20L/30L versions
  • Capture Clip V3.  The Clip-only will still be just black and silver, while the Clip + Plate now adds Eclipse, Kelp and Ocean. See our line of camera straps and belts for more.
  • Travel Backpacks and Duffels come in a variety of sizes including 30L, 45L, 65L and 85L bags, with smaller sizes adopting more new colour options.
  • Packing Cubes, camera cubes and Pouches
  • Camera Straps are getting an update across popular Cuff, Leash, Slide Lite, and Slide models
  • Accessories from Anchor Links to tripod accessories are being updated to complement the core range

Peak Design isn’t getting rid of all of the old colours, with Coyote and Black available for many products, although bone, midnight, raw and ash are all but disappearing.

If you’re upgrading or expanding your kit, you can now match your entire setup in one cohesive colour, giving you a more personal choice to get a less utilitarian look for your gear.

Colours That Complement Functional Designs

Peak Design have stood out for their smart, user-friendly camera and travel gear. The Everyday range was originally launched on Kickstarter and quickly became a favourite among creators for its modular layout, secure access, and weatherproof materials. Now, it’s getting a visual update without changing the functionality that made it so popular.

Whether you need fast side access, padded dividers for camera bodies and lenses, or a bag that switches from camera work to everyday carry, the refreshed line-up does it al with colour combinations that better reflect a unique style.

The Capture Clip V3 is interesting as it was already one of the most popular quick-release camera systems around. This will also now come in these four new colours, so you can complement a backpack or bag with a matching or complimentary coloured Capture clip.

Why Colour Matters

The market has definitely shifted away from camera bags that are function over form. Today’s creators want gear that firstly fits their workflow, but also better reflects their personality. Although their previous colours were interesting for the time, Peak Design’s update reinforces a move away from more bland black and standard options. Colour matters more than ever, whether it’s for easy gear recognition, individuality, or just matching an aesthetic across your entire kit.

At the same time, these aren’t fashion-first updates. Everything is still made with Peak Design’s commitment to recycled, Fairtrade approved and Climate neutral goals, with ultra-rugged construction and no-hassle, no-rhetoric lifetime guarantee.

Whether you're looking for a camera bag with modern colour options or just want a kit that doesn’t look like everyone else’s, this refresh is well worth exploring in-stores and online.

Standing for More

Peak Design has always been driven by a strong environmental and social ethos. They became a certified B Corp in 2019, have been 100% carbon neutral since 2018, while committing 1% of their revenue to environmental non-profits through 1% for the Planet.

They’ve also been influential in raising awareness around overproduction and fast fashion in tech and travel accessories, opting instead for fewer, longer-lasting products that users love and keep for years. This is of course backed by their no quibble lifetime warranty.

This approach has earned them a passionate customer base, from first-time camera buyers to working professionals who trust their gear in a range of working environments.

Choose Your Colour, Make The System

Peak Design’s modular system means that users can mix and match various elements to suit their needs. From everyday slings for lightweight carry to full systems for international travel, the whole ecosystem can work together. For example you can now get a Capture Clip V3 in Kelp, with a Kelp backpack and Kelp packing cubes, along with a Kelp camera strap if that is what you like!

If you're shopping for the best Peak Design camera backpack or a shoulder bag for students that says more than basic black, this new collection is well worth a close look.
