Hasselblad Medium Format Lenses
Hasselblad’s introduction of X System mirrorless medium format cameras such as the Hasselblad X2D 100C has signalled a new era for the company. It opens up exciting opportunities for photographers who benefit from a 50MP medium format sensor in a compact mirrorless body weighing only 650g. This system now features a broad range of compatible XCD lenses which meet the demands of the high megapixel sensor. We are also proud to offer our customers a comprehensive range of HC and HCD Lenses for H-System medium format cameras and digital backs.
Designed in Sweden, these are some of the finest optics available on the market, satisfying the needs of high-end users. The XCD range spans a number of choices from ultra-wide, standard, through to short telephoto focal widths, together with a teleconverter and macro option. Optics produce bright, sharp images across the frame and feature fast, bright apertures and a series of advanced aspherical glass elements. All XCD lenses contain a lens shutter which can deliver speeds from 60 minutes to 1/2000 second, with full flash synchronisation up to 1/2000th.
Models are extremely compact, complementing the lightweight mirrorless body perfectly for comfortable hand held shooting.
Ever since the company was founded in 1941, Hasselblad have been the benchmark of uncompromising quality, sophistication, style and image quality. Hasselblad cameras even went to The Moon with NASA and the Apollo missions in 1969, and have been a household name ever since, used by some of the greatest photographers in the world. There is an excellent article about Hasselblad cameras going to the moon here on NPR’s website.
Today Hasselblad cameras and lenses are within reach of advanced enthusiasts and professionals who demand the finest optics for their photography passion.
