Stepping Rings
WHAT ARE STEPPING RINGS?
Stepping rings for photography allow you to use larger diameter filters on smaller diameter lenses. For example, a step-up ring lets you use a 77mm filter on a 67mm diameter lens. Stepping rings mean you can buy one set of filters and use them with all your lenses. We stock all of the most popular sizes in our comprehensive range right here, which are all available to buy online, as well as in-store where customers can browse photography equipment in person.
No loss of image quality will be seen when using one of these filter adaptors as they do not cover the camera lens in any way, however if your lens is a super-wide angle, some vignetting may be noticeable when stepping down. This is commonplace when placing filters on extremely wide lenses regardless of using any rings.
At Park Cameras we stock a selection of both step up rings and step down rings from leading manufacturers Kenko and Cokin. Browse our selection online or pop into either our Burgess Hill store or our Central London store to get hands on with our range of stepping rings.
