Atomos Ninja TX GO Monitor Recorder Summary
The Atomos Ninja TX GO Monitor Recorder features a bright 5-inch screen for filmmakers, content creators and production teams who work in multi-cam and live-streamed environments. The video monitor-recorder supports ProRes RAW recording at up to 6Kp30, with CFexpress Type B media ensuring fast, reliable performance even when capturing high-resolution footage.
As Atomos’ HDMI-only device, the TX GO offers a more affordable alternative to the Ninja TX, for users with HDMI cameras and don’t need timecode or SDI connectors.
A bright 1500nit HDR touchscreen display provides high visibility even in outdoor conditions. The device also features integrated Wi-Fi, which allows camera-to-cloud (C2C) uploads from location to ATOMOSphere, Frame.io or Dropbox, streamlining your production workflow. The Ninja TX GO also supports NDI 6 HX3, which is suitable for IP-based video over Wi-Fi and increasingly common remote workflows.
Creators can power the device using USB-C Power Delivery, a standard NP-F battery, or an optional AC adaptor. Three USB-C ports are available, with one for power and two for accessories including storage media, screen calibration, and camera control. HDMI input and output supports up to 8K30 or Full HD 120fps, with loop-through available for external monitoring or transmission setups.
Despite its compact size, the Ninja TX GO includes an array of monitoring tools, along with secure locking HDMI and USB-C cable adaptors to protect against accidental disconnects. OTA firmware updates ensure ongoing improvements and future capabilities, making this one of the most versatile and forward-compatible monitor-recorders in the Atomos range.

Atomos Ninja TX GO Monitor Recorder in More Detail
High-performance ProRes RAW Recording
The Ninja TX GO supports high-resolution Apple ProRes RAW capture up to 6K at 30fps, recorded directly to high-speed CFexpress Type B cards (sold separately). These cards allow for rapid write speeds and improved reliability, especially important for professional workflows where large file sizes and stable performance are key.
HDMI 2.0 I/O and Loop-through
The HDMI input handles up to 8K at 30fps, 4K at 60fps or Full HD up to 120fps. Loop-through support means the incoming signal can be passed directly to another device, such as a second monitor, a wireless video transmitter or a live-streaming encoder, without delay.
Bright 5-Inch HDR Touchscreen
The 5-inch touchscreen features a 1500nit brightness level with 10-bit HDR support, allowing users to view footage clearly in almost any lighting condition. Combined with Atomos’ professional monitoring tools for focus, exposure and framing, users can shoot with confidence on location or in studio.
Flexible Power Options and Locking Ports
The TX GO can be powered in three ways: USB-C Power Delivery from a compatible power bank or wall adapter, a standard NP-F battery, or via an optional lockable AC battery eliminator. To prevent accidental disconnection, the included HDMI and USB-C cable adaptors lock into place securely.
Built-in Wi-Fi and Camera to Cloud Workflow
Integrated Wi-Fi enables direct uploads to cloud platforms including ATOMOSphere, Frame.io and Dropbox. This Camera to Cloud (C2C) capability eliminates the need for manual file transfers, allowing editors and collaborators to access footage while the shoot is still ongoing.
Support for NDI 6 HX3
NDI over Wi-Fi allows low-latency video transmission over standard networks. Ninja TX GO can operate as both a transmitter and a receiver in an NDI workflow, making it useful for multi-cam live productions or remote broadcasting environments.
USB-C Ports and Future-proofing
Three USB-C ports are available: one for power and two for external storage, screen calibration tools, camera control, or future accessories. With OTA firmware updates and a flexible port setup, the Ninja TX GO is ready to evolve with changing production requirements.
