Following over a decade of developing successful monitoring and recording tools, Atomos has released the next-generation Atomos Shinobi II 5-inch 1500nit HDR Monitor. This updated device incorporates all of Atomos' renowned screen processing technology and professional monitoring tools, which are now housed within a new, slimmer case. The monitor also features a 50% brighter HDR screen to easier daylight viewing even in bright conditions.
The Shinobi II includes exciting new hardware capabilities, such as camera control for Canon, Panasonic and Sony cameras via USB-C, as well as Z CAM cameras via an optional USB-C to Serial cable. Atomos has also promised that additional camera brands will be supported through future firmware updates.
Thanks to its low power consumption and efficient hardware, the Atomos Shinobi II field monitor can run all day on a single battery charge. Advanced exposure tools like false colour, zebras, histograms, waveforms, and vector scopes help ensure accurate exposure, while a multi-tool Analysis View provides all essential information at a glance.

The 2nd generation monitor is also compatible with popular compact cinema cameras from Z CAM's E2 line. Quick Camera Status Check
Keep an eye on your camera’s internal record settings, battery status and remaining record time with the Camera Status indicator. A red edge display acts as a Tally Lap in order to show when the camera is recording, whether triggered by the camera or the Shinobi II.

Achieve perfect exposure with every shot by combining Shinobi II's camera lens adjustments for aperture, shutter speed/angle, and ISO with built-in exposure tools like false colour, waveforms, zebras, and the histogram. This is the ideal screen upgrade for vloggers, photographers and videographers who need an accessible monitor as well as advanced capabilities.
With up to 1500nits peak brightness the screen is adequately bright for daylight viewing in the field, and it works equally well on-location as it does in the studio. The lightweight design, flexible power options and slimline case all contribute to ensuring the Shinobi II will become your go-to portable monitor when out and about shooting.
Despite being so compact and lightweight the monitor includes the updated AtomOS 11 UX along with several brand new features for creators. These include the ability to control compatible cameras, harness multiple exposure tools simultaneously, and keep an eye on camera settings, such as battery and remaining recording times.

Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.
