The Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor Kit offers an additional, versatile mounting option that complements the PYXIS camera and works with existing mounting accessories. Thanks to a built-in accelerometer, this video camera monitor can be mounted forward or rear facing, ensuring a perfect image regardless of how it’s positioned, and catering to the camera operator or presenter as required.
Whether mounted directly on the camera or an external gimbal, the PYXIS Monitor allows for full monitoring and camera control, even when it’s mounted remotely out of reach, where it relies on the USB connection for remote control.
It features a bright tally light, which is ideal for teams and solo creators, allowing you to manage presenting and operating the camera during one-person productions. The screen is a daylight viewable 5-inch 1500 nit high brightness touchscreen, which features machined round edges and metal design cues, which complement the PYXIS and URSA pro video cameras perfectly.
The monitor connects via USB in order to extend camera functions with live video, HUD settings and menus, and this kit includes a fully-featured removable sunshade, Monitor Swivel Mount, Monitor Fixed Mount and screws, Dovetail Shoe and screws. This ensure that you have everything needed for versatile mounting options from the outset, although the monitor is also available as a PYXIS Monitor EVF Kit, which adds various rods to the bundle.

Touchscreen Monitoring with Full Camera Control
This PYXIS monitor offers the same intuitive controls and overlays as the PYXIS’ built-in LCD, which is ideal when mounted remotely on rigging or accessories obstruct the camera display. With multiple mounting points, it can be easily attached to any rig, acting as a large screen with easier focusing and framing.
Alternatively, it can be used as an assist station, allowing the crew to frame and monitor shots from anywhere on set via the included USB cable in this kit. The monitor includes three customisable buttons for quick access to essential features like zebra, focus assist, and false colour. These can be activated even when the monitor faces the camera-person, thanks to their tactile and easily recognisable designs.
The bright 1500-nit display and detachable sunshade ensure excellent visibility, even under direct sunlight in outdoor sets and location shoots. The included sunshade from BlackMagic can be folded down to act as a screen protector and boasts the same stylish design cues as the camera and screen.

Condition guide
Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
- Well Used – The equipment will show significant signs of wear. The paintwork will be coming away in large areas exposing the metal work, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
- Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

Peace of mind with our 6 month warranty
This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result. The number of tests depends on the individual product but we are confident in this product having tested all the major functions. Anything that isn’t as you would expect, we then make a note of and show this in the condition notes on the page.
