Tips for mist filter
The best effect is achieved under appropriate lighting conditions. Backlight, highlights and specular highlights must be present. Start with a discreet filter strength of ¼ and then increase.

The effect of the dust filter is affected by the choice of aperture, so the aperture should be chosen carefully and not too wide. For example, the maximum aperture is 11 at 50 mm/FF or 5.6 at 28 mm/FF. Telephoto lenses starting at 85 mm/FF are less critical. If the lens is stopped down too much, the effect structure can be sharply reproduced in the image due to the larger focus area. This is especially true for cameras with smaller image sensors.

Fog filters do not require an exposure extension. However, the exposure should be generous rather than too short. Depending on personal preference, exposure compensation of +1/3 to +1/2 stops is recommended. A good way to gain experience in finding the optimal exposure is to take a series of shots with different exposure settings.
