Create More With The Leica LUX App
Hardware and software work together through the Leica LUX app, which adds manual control over exposure, ISO and shutter speed, along with Leica Looks and bokeh effects inspired by Leica lenses including the Summilux-M and Noctilux-M. Registering the Grip includes 12 months of the Pro version at no extra cost, giving you the full app experience from day one.

Will it fit if I have a case on my iPhone?
Yes, provided the case supports MagSafe. The Grip can attach directly to a MagSafe-compatible case, while a case without MagSafe may need to be removed before use.
Which iPhones can I use it with?
It works with iPhones featuring MagSafe from iPhone 12 onwards, or compatible models fitted with a MagSafe case. The Leica LUX app requires iOS 17.1 or later, and Leica recommends iPhone 14 or newer for the best LUX experience.
Does it work with Apple’s Camera app?
No. The physical controls work in conjunction with the Leica LUX app rather than Apple’s Camera app or other photography apps.
Can it be used left-handed?
Yes. The MagSafe plate can be removed by undoing the two Torx screws, rotated 180 degrees and reattached to place the handgrip on the opposite side.
Will it charge my iPhone?
No. The internal battery powers the Grip itself and cannot be used as a power bank to charge the connected iPhone.
Can I use it outdoors in wet weather?
It has an IP54 rating, providing protection against dust and splashing water. It is not rated for immersion in water.

Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
