Product Summary
The Manfrotto ONE Aluminium Hybrid Tripod brings stills and video features together in a single support developed with feedback from professional users. Made in Italy, it provides the stability photographers expect while accommodating the faster setup, levelling and movement often needed when recording video. This model also offers a more affordable route into the ONE range than the ONE Carbon Fibre Tripod, while retaining the same core functionality.
At the heart of the design is a new non-round leg profile, which provides rigidity for stills while improving torsional resistance for smoother pans and tilts during video recording. The patented XTEND mechanism also allows all leg sections to be deployed together, reducing setup time when you need to change position quickly.
The centre column can be tilted, extended, levelled or removed for low-angle shooting, with Q90 horizontal positioning adding options for overhead product photography and other unusual viewpoints. Compatibility with the Xchange system allows heads and accessories to be swapped quickly, while the broader Manfrotto aluminium tripod range provides alternatives for photographers who need a more conventional support.
That combination makes the ONE particularly useful when a shoot moves between photography and video. Landscapes, products, travel, interviews and other mixed productions can all be approached with the same support rather than changing equipment as the type of shot changes.
In More Detail
Newly Designed Non-Round Aluminium Legs for Hybrid Stability
A new non-round leg design is used, which has been extensively refined through user testing with hybrid creators. This leg shape increases torsional rigidity, which provides greater stability for both stills photos and smooth video pans.
The new shape is combined with a durable aluminium construction, in order to deliver a solid base with reduced flex compared to standard round tripod leg tubes. Each section extends via ergonomic twist locks and features modular feet, that can be swapped when shooting on different terrain. The legs weigh 3.4kg and support a maximum payload of 15kg.
Versatile 4-in-1 Centre Column
At the heart is a modular centre column, which provides four functions in one compact design. The Levelling Column enables fine horizontal adjustments without shifting the legs, which is ideal for video and working on uneven ground. The Q90 Mechanism allows the column to flip to a horizontal position, which is especially useful for flat-lay and overhead shots. The Sliding Column provides quick vertical movements to adjust the height, and the entire column can be removed or extended for ultra-low or high-angle setups.
Quick to Setup and Adjust
The XTEND locking system enables all leg sections to deploy simultaneously in one easy motion. This significantly reduces setup time and makes height changes easier and quicker in the field. A new Angle Selector lets users independently lock each leg at multiple angles, which provides yet more flexibility for shooting awkward or creative compositions.
Modular and Expandable
Manfrotto has added accessory support via a built-in Easy Link Mount, which allows users to add arms, lights, or monitors directly to the tripod without extra brackets. A carrying handle is also planned for future releases, which is aimed at improving mobility when moving between locations.
Designed for Creators
From overhead product shots to eye-level interviews or low-angle video, the modular design of the ONE Aluminium Tripod can adapt to suit hybrid creators’ needs without switching between different tripods. The ergonomic design, and clever features make it a highly versatile platform for anyone from a solo hybrid creator to production team members.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this tripod include a head?
No. This is the legs-only version, which lets you choose a head to suit your photography or video setup. It is compatible with the Xchange system, while the 500X Fluid Head can connect directly without requiring a separate Xchange plate.
Why choose ONE Hybrid rather than ONE Photo or ONE Video?
ONE Hybrid is the version for photographers and filmmakers who regularly move between stills and video. ONE Photo places greater emphasis on dedicated photographic support, while ONE Video is configured specifically for controlled movement and video production. Hybrid combines features from both disciplines when you would rather use one support for mixed shooting.
What is the difference between the aluminium and carbon fibre versions?
They share the same 170.5cm maximum height, 19cm minimum height, 15kg safety payload and core Hybrid features. The main difference is weight: this aluminium version weighs 3.55kg, compared with 3.15kg for the carbon fibre model. Aluminium therefore makes sense when lower cost is more important than saving 400g for travel or frequent location work.
Can I use it for overhead product photography or flat lays?
Yes. The Q90 mechanism moves the centre column into a horizontal position for overhead framing, while the lower section can also be removed when you need to work close to ground level. The safety payload is reduced to 7kg when the column is used in the 90-degree position.
Do I need to carry separate spiked feet for outdoor shooting?
No. Removing the rubber feet exposes spikes underneath, so you can switch between conventional rubber contact indoors and extra grip on uneven or slippery ground without carrying a separate set.
Does a carrying bag come with it?
No. The standalone aluminium version does not include a bag. A padded carrying bag is supplied with the ONE Hybrid kits that pair the tripod with the 500X Fluid Head.
