Product Summary

The Manfrotto ONE Carbon Fibre Hybrid Tripod brings stills and video features together in a lighter support for photographers and filmmakers who regularly work across both. Designed and made in Italy, its carbon fibre construction reduces weight while retaining the 15kg safety payload of the aluminium version, making it particularly relevant for travel and location work where equipment is carried for longer periods.

The non-round leg profile provides rigidity for stills while improving torsional resistance for smoother pans and tilts during video recording. The patented XTEND mechanism also allows all leg sections to be deployed together, reducing setup time when you need to change position quickly.

The centre column can be tilted, extended, levelled or removed for low-angle shooting, with Q90 horizontal positioning adding options for overhead product photography, flat lays and other unusual viewpoints. Compatibility with the Xchange system allows heads and accessories to be swapped quickly, while an Easy Link connection provides a mounting point for additional equipment.

At 3.15kg, this model is 400g lighter than the ONE Aluminium Hybrid Tripod, while offering the same 170.5cm maximum height and core Hybrid functionality. Browse the wider Manfrotto carbon fibre tripod range for other lightweight supports.

In More Detail

Newly Designed Non-Round Carbon Fibre Legs for Hybrid Stability

The system introduces a new non-round leg design, which has been extensively refined through user testing with hybrid creators. This leg shape increases torsional rigidity, which provides greater stability for both stills photography and smooth video pans.

The new shape is combined with a durable carbon fibre construction, in order to deliver a solid base with reduced flex compared to standard round tripod leg tubes. Each section extends via ergonomic twist locks and includes modular feet, that can be swapped for shooting on different terrain. This model weighs just 3kg while supporting up to 15kg, offering a stable base for hybrid mirrorless cameras without unnecessary weight.

Versatile 4-in-1 Centre Column

At the heart is a modular centre column which provides four functions in one compact design. The Levelling Column enables fine horizontal adjustments without shifting the legs, which is ideal for video and working on uneven ground. The Q90 Mechanism allows the column to flip to a horizontal position, which is especially useful for flat-lay and overhead shots. The Sliding Column provides quick vertical movements to adjust the height, and the entire column can be removed or extended for ultra-low or high-angle setups.

Quick to Setup and Adjust

The XTEND system enables all leg sections to deploy simultaneously in one easy motion. This reduces setup time and makes height changes easier and quicker in the field. A new Angle Selector lets users independently lock each leg at multiple angles, which provides yet more flexibility for shooting awkward or creative compositions.

Modular and Expandable

Accessories are supported via a built-in Easy Link Mount, which allows users to add arms, lights, or monitors directly to the leg without extra brackets. A carrying handle is also planned for future releases, which is aimed at improving mobility when moving between locations.

Designed for Creators

From overhead product shots to eye-level interviews or low-angle video, the modular design can adapt to suit hybrid creators’ needs without switching between different tripods. The ergonomic design, and clever features make it a highly versatile platform for anyone from a solo hybrid creator to production team members.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose carbon fibre rather than the aluminium version?

The main advantage is lower weight. This model weighs 3.15kg compared with 3.55kg for the aluminium alternative, while both reach the same 170.5cm maximum height and support the same 15kg safety payload. Saving 400g is most worthwhile for travel and location work, particularly when carrying equipment for longer periods.

Does the lighter construction increase the payload too?

No. Both materials support up to 15kg in their standard configuration. The benefit here is reducing the weight you carry rather than accommodating heavier equipment.

Is a head included?

No. This is the standalone support, allowing you to choose a photo, video or other compatible head to suit your equipment.

When should I choose Hybrid rather than Photo or Video?

Hybrid makes sense when you regularly switch between stills and filmmaking and want the same support to accommodate both. The Photo range concentrates on dedicated photographic use, while Video models prioritise controlled movement for filmmaking.

Can I use the centre column horizontally with heavier equipment?

Yes, although the safety payload falls from 15kg to 7kg when the column is positioned horizontally at 90°. That’s worth considering when mounting a heavier body and lens for flat lays or overhead product shots.

Do I need separate feet for softer ground?

No. Removing the rubber contact points exposes integrated spikes underneath, so you can adapt them for different surfaces without carrying a separate set.
