Anniversary Design
A GR1-inspired dark-silver finish extends across the shutter release and rear controls, while a diamond-cut GN-3 (30th) ring cap reflects light only when the lens is retracted, avoiding distraction while shooting. The set also includes a dedicated anniversary power-off screen, engraved metal hot shoe cover, genuine leather finger strap, and a pin badge set with 16 pins representing all 14 GR models released to date alongside GR and 30th Anniversary logo badges.
GR Lens Design
The fixed 18.3mm f/2.8 lens gives a 28mm full-frame equivalent field of view. Its optical design uses seven elements in five groups, including three aspherical, high-refractive and low-dispersion elements, plus a large-diameter rear element to improve edge sharpness, suppress chromatic aberration and resolve the full 25.74MP sensor, all within the GR series' compact dimensions.
Sensor and Processing
The back-illuminated APS-C sensor works with the GR Engine 7 processor and an accelerator unit to improve processing speed, reduce noise and maintain tonal gradation up to ISO 204800. Images record as JPEG or 14-bit DNG RAW, which can be developed in-camera with adjustments to settings such as exposure and white balance.
Autofocus and Stabilisation
Hybrid phase and contrast detection autofocus, a redesigned lens drive and faster sensor readout support quicker subject acquisition and an approximately 0.6-second start-up, with macro mode also engaging faster. The 5-axis Shake Reduction system compensates for pitch, yaw, roll and horizontal and vertical movement, providing up to six stops of stabilisation centrally and up to four stops towards the edges under CIPA 2024 testing. An AA Filter Simulator uses microscopic sensor movement to reduce false colour and moiré on repeating patterns.
Creative Shooting Modes
Program Auto Ex allows instant switching between aperture and shutter priority control while remaining in Program mode. Snap Distance-Priority AE combines preset focus distances with depth of field for faster street photography, while Full Press Snap bypasses conventional autofocus to shoot immediately at a preset distance with a full press of the shutter or tap of the screen.
Cinema image mode adds adjustable colour tone, saturation, hue, contrast and grain for film-inspired results in-camera. Crop modes offer alternative framing without changing lenses, providing 35mm-equivalent coverage at 15MP or 50mm-equivalent coverage at 7MP.
Everyday Carry
The GR IV weighs 262g including battery and memory card. Its 53GB of internal memory is complemented by UHS-I microSD support, and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connect to the GR WORLD app for wireless transfer, remote shooting and location tagging. The 3.0-inch 1.037-million-dot air-gapless touchscreen reduces reflections, with an Outdoor Monitor mode optimising brightness in bright conditions.

Our used products are subject to wear and tear in comparison to brand new products. This also applies to accessories that are supplied with the camera including batteries which may have a lower optimum performance level/life expectancy.
- Like New – The equipment is in a condition as if you have just bought it from the manufacturer. The item is still considered to be ‘Like New’ even without the original packaging and accessories. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect working order. Lenses are optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Excellent – The equipment should be close to being ‘Like New’ but there may be some small cosmetic blemishes that lower its grade. The product has been fully tested and is in perfect excellent order.
- Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
- Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements and optically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect the imagery.
- Very Good – The equipment may have some slight cosmetic wear to the paintwork and cosmetic blemishes with only light signs of use and the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that does not affect its display
- Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear
- Good – The equipment is showing more obvious signs of cosmetic wear and blemishes, but the product has been fully tested and is in great working order.
- Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
- Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.
